East Anglia
The ancient kingdom of East Anglia has preserved much of its unspoilt character, rural landscape, architecture and traditions with attractions ranging from the University city of Cambridge and the Cathedral city of Ely, to glorious, often deserted, sandy beaches, lots of seaside fun, outdoor pursuits and the unspoilt waterways of The Broads. National Trust places in East Anglia are equally varied, ranging from the magnificent Blickling Hall in Norfolk, the impressive rotunda at Ickworth, near Bury St. Edmunds, the elegant Anglesey Abbey, to the dramatic coastline at Dunwich Heath, with its neighbouring RSPB sanctuary and the Anglo-Saxon royal burial site at Sutton Hoo.

Thanks NT for a great week

A fantastically well thought out property with everything you need in easy reach. Wildlife treat on the first morning with the Barn Owl, two deer and a weasel/stoat playing by the front door. The walk around Blickling Hall lake was also wonderful with Egyptian Geese and Kingfishers in residence. Thanks NT for a great week

Would highly recommend staying at the Tower

Arrived at 18.30-in pitch black-to be met by the barn owl ! Realised what a fantastic setting the Tower is in when we woke up next morning. Watched the barn owls hunting every morning. The Tower was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a brilliant short break. We even bought food and ate in rather than leave our holiday home for pub dining.Good walks to Blickling Hall.We all had a marvellous time and would highly recommend staying at the Tower
