Peckover House & Garden Peckover House is a fine 18th-century town house set in the heart of the Georgian town of Wisbech. Just across the river is the birthplace of one of the founders of the National Trust, Octavia Hill. Wisbech is a busy fenland town with a good selection of inns and restaurants within easy walking of the Coach House Loft and forms a good base to explore Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. Spend a while wandering along the Backs and soaking up the atmosphere at the university city of Cambridge; while the city of Ely offers the splendid cathedral that dates back to 1083. The North Norfolk coastline is within easy reach, such as Hunstanton, Brancaster, Blakeney and Cromer offering popular beaches and the towns of Burnham Market, birthplace of Nelson and King’s Lynn, once one of England’s most prosperous ports, are both a short distance away.
