Visitors' Book - Bureside (previously 92 Itteringham)

Even raging toothache couldn't detract too much from our 2nd visit here, a very peaceful short break. The cottage was as beautifully presented as before and Bickling and Felbrigg were just as beautiful. The fact that we were abl to walk to the Stanhope Arms of an evening without being passed by any traffic at all made it even more stress free and peaceful. We can also recommend the home made curry pie from the Itteringahm village shop, but it's such a shame that the NT has not renewed the lease on Samphire, the shop at Blickling which provided a welcome outlet to many local food, fruit and veg producers. Now that the offending tooth has been consigned to the bin, we shall be back for another enjoyable stay as soon as we can!

We've enjoyed numerous breaks in NT cottages but 92 Itteringham was one of the most enjoyable. Located on an extremely quiet road in the village of Itteringham Common (not Itteringham itself) yet with easy access to Blickling Hall and a reasonable drive to the bracing North Norfolk coast including Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park yet with many footpaths virtually on the doorstep. The soothing River Bure in the garden would be a real bonus on a summer's day but our winter break concentrated more on the keeping the wood for the lovely real fire flowing. A truly cosy and relaxing retreat.
