Felbrigg Hall | Norfolk Apart from the popular attractions such as the waterways of the Broads and gathering in the larger resorts, Norfolk offers a peaceful and picturesque county of grand estates, unspoilt coastline, attractive scenery and prolific wildlife. The National Trust cares for some of the most magnificent properties in the region, together with several miles of coast including the renowned Blakeney Point nature reserve. The National Trust owned estates of Blickling, Felbrigg, Sheringham and Horsey - and the converted mill at Burnham Overy - are all excellent bases from which to explore Norfolk. |
| | | Blickling Hall Blickling Hall is one of the greatest houses in East Anglia dating back to the early 17th-century. It captures the atmosphere of country house living in the 1930s. A spectacular Jacobean plaster ceiling in the long gallery is particularly impressive. The gardens are renowned for massive yew hedges and magnificent herbaceous borders and contain a late 18th-century orangery. The park, in the manner of Capability Brown, contains a crescent shaped lake and a mausoleum, designed by Joseph Bonomi. There are good walks around the park and fishing is available in the lake.
