The main house and estate buildings of Penrose overlook a valley of gentle parkland, studded with old oak trees, rolling down towards Loe Pool. The old U-shaped stable block, with its distinctive clock tower, was built in the mid 18th century for the Reverend John Rogers, Squire of Penrose. The first-floor of this fine building has been converted to a holiday apartment.
Reached via a private drive, the Stables is a serene sanctuary in the grounds of this historic estate. The path that runs around the perimeter of the Loe Pool passes the front of the building, offering a variety of different walks around the estate, woods and lake, whilst towns of Helston and Porthleven are nearby. The Stables benefits from its own small decking area and rockery garden.
