A traditional 19th-century Cotswold stone cottage, originally the home of the late John Workman OBE who owned the Ebworth Estate and was the National Trust's Forestry Adviser in the 1970s. The cottage is set at the head of the Sheepscombe valley, below the towering beech woods of the Workman's estate. The woodland is a National Nature Reserve and is an example of some of the finest beech trees grown for timber in the country. The sunny garden has lovely views across the valley to National Trust woodland and farmland. The cottage is just half a mile from the centre of Sheepscombe village which has a small but popular public house. The cottage is surrounded by deciduous woodland which is accessible from just behind the cottage.
