Perfect place to spend Christmas - very secluded and cosy retreat far from the madding crowd. Fabulous walks, woods and parkland. Dog was in her element - such a shame no more dogs from 2008. We would certainly have booked again. Please do feed the wildlife.

A holiday here greatly enjoyed, there is so much to see within short distances. We found the cottage comfortable and impeccable and thanks to Mrs Rogers and the National Trust for their efforts.

One of the most peaceful, relaxing places we have stayed at. Comfortable from the minute you step in. It has all the facilities you need to function happily, yet it feels like a step back in time. The outlooks a delight and where ever you visit during the day the cottage can always edge it. Like everyone else who has stayed here we would like to return one day. The National Trust have got it perfect with their out of sight approach, and we will never forget how truly special this place is. Long may it continue.
