Stayed during the first week of October 2011 and was rewarded with some
nice weather. Our first NT rental and was impressed by the fixtures,fittings and, not least of all, the property with it's views and the Deer. The little church adjacent to the grounds is worth a visit. Looking forward to trying a few of the other NT properties.

We stayed December 2010 and there was a magical feeling with the Christmas festivities. We were also nearly put off about the comments regarding the spiral staircase and children. However we managed with our 2 year old daughter who loved the place.

Beautiful apartment -- large and well-equipped; comfortable beds; new bathroom (the power shower is great!). The welcome tray of tea/coffee with milk in the fridge was wonderful. Gorgeous views overlooking the deer park and croquet lawn. Our whole visit was utterly magic, and I'd happily stay again.
A word of advice to anyone staying here - pack your things in several small bags rather than try to haul large suitcases up and down those spiral stairs.
