We have four holiday apartments in Acorn House -Crowdundle, Bank Wood, Sandwath and Birksike - popular with those wanting to stay on a traditional estate in a glorious part of Britain. The approach to the apartments is through sweeping parkland which visitors can enjoy in peace and tranquillity when the house is closed to visitors. The apartments have no private gardens but visitors can enjoy the woodland walk along Crowdundle Beck, full of wild flowers and beautiful frees, to the partially restored Acorn Bank watermill.
Bank Wood is situated on the first floor, in the west wing. There are many historic features in this spacious and comfortable holiday home with sweeping views over the countryside.
First Floor: kitchen, sitting/dining room with 16th-century stone fireplace, one double bedroom (with 6' bed which can also be a twin on request) bathroom with shower over bath.

Visitor Notes: Night storage heating included. Regrettably open fires are not allowed in the feature fireplaces. A television and DVD player are provided but please note there is no television reception.
