Yet another wonderful visit to an idyllicly peaceful escape at High Hallgarth - no where else will do and we wonder if once a year is enough! Spent the beginning of April 06 there and saw the begininnings of spring. The cottage offered its usual warmth and welcome and lit fires every night. Fantastic!

Such a great cottage and good to be so isolated. Lovely walks from the door. Also loved the tin bath which we dragged in front of the open fire every evening. Even got used to the strange old experience of having to pop outside for a poo!

What a wonderful fell cottage. Thrilled to find such peace and simplicity. We even enjoyed bathing in the tin bath!
