| | | | Visitors' Book - Holeslack FarmhouseSizergh Estate Kendal Cumbria | From: | steve mason | | Message: | Had a brilliant week here with the Family, gorgeous house, very historic yet kept spotlessly clean and warm with all mod cons you could need and bags of room even for 8 of us.
Views out of windows were lovely and just a 3 minute walk away provided some of the best views of the lakes, yet quiet and traffic free and opened up to mile after mile of accessible countryside.
A perfect quiet and realxing place, thank you so much. |

This was a real treat, and so handy for walking down to the farm shop at Sizergh with its yummy food. Loved the huge kitchen, though we were too mardy to use the Rayburn for cooking. Sitting room was very cosy with the fire lit and TV reception was fine (though personally I could do without it). A very friendly feel to the place despite spooky cupboards and spiral staircase. |
From: | Petra Brigden | | Message: | Just returned from our second visit to Holeslack and it's still as wonderful! This is my most favourite National Trust holiday cottage. Views from the house are amazing, even on cloudy days in November! Although the Farmhouse is very private and idyllically isolated, it's great that Kendal is only a 10 minute drive away for your essentials and luxuries! Many excellent cafes & restaurants open throughout the season. Missing it already...hope I can visit again soon! |
