Visitors' Book - Low Hallgarth

Little Langdale   nr Coniston   Lake District

"Uneven track" is almost an understatement - take note it is very bumpy indeed and narrow, but that's the joy of the place. Fill the freezer (which is quite big) on day one and then enjoy walks from the front door to local pubs and shops, plenty of beautiful circular walks - unfortunately the location is right on the edge of 06 & 07 of the OS orange maps so you have to buy both!

Note to NT: couldn't you at least allow salt and pepper to be left in the kitchen?

A great 'getting away from it' cottage - very remote and the NT have done a very good job of keeping the cottage in a traditional style. Very cosy with fireplaces in both the lounge and bedroom. Ideal for those who enjoy walking. Take lots of food and drink, the cottage is quite a walk from the nearest pub!

We have just returned home from staying in your wonderful cottage in Low Hallgarth in the Lakes. We have had a wonderful weekend and although the weather hasn't been at its best you still could not ignore the fantastic setting. The cottage although in a remote location has everything you need for a comfortable stay and with the feel that you have completely gotten away from everything. Although no TV our 2 year old had a fab time. Who needs cbeebies when you have low hallgarth!!! Thanks for a great time. March 2004
