December 2005. Great location for walks in Langdale and over the hill to Grasmere. Watch out for the couple of steps down from the kitchen. Lots of room and very warm, loved the furniture. Don't miss the excellent food at Chesters, Skelwith bridge.

This is a wonderful house. So peaceful. We walked up the valley to Elterwater every day and saw the sunrise on top of the hill behind the house. We have stayed in many National Trust properties, this is the best yet. The Lake District is fantastic.
