Springwell stands in open Northumberland countryside, just a few hundred metres south of Hadrians Wall at the heart of the Trust's Estate. Converted from a pair of 18th-century farm workers cottages it is spacious and comfortable. The significant Roman centres of Housesteads and Vindolanda are only minutes away by car. There is a dry stone wall enclosing the lawned garden.
Ground Floor: Open-plan sitting room with open fire and kitchen/dining room with views up to the Hadrian's Wall, bathroom with bath, shower and lavatory, one double bedroom (with 6' bed which can also be a twin on request).
First Floor: two large bedrooms (1 double with 5' bed and 1 twin).

Visitor Notes: Oil central heating included. There is parking for two cars on a small area next to the cottage just off the lane.
