St. Oswald's, on Holy Island, is a substantial three bedroom detached stone built cottage overlooking Lindisfarne Castle. It is the last dwelling in the village on the road to the castle with stunning views to open countryside and Holy Island harbour. The spacious accommodation is on one level with gardens to front and rear. The cottage which is Grade II listed was designed in the early 20th century by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Edward Hudson who at the time owned the castle. The cottage echoes a number of recognised Lutyens features such as the pan tiled roof and original style doors and windows.
