Fabulous farmhouse; plenty of space both indoors and out. Beautiful surroundings and great walks, even with a buggy. The grounds were stock fenced which enabled the dogs to ramble freely.

The house had a very welcoming feeling about it, especially the kitchen; extremely well equipped and very clean. The house retained all its original character but still had all the mod cons expected. Great for all ages.

We will all definitely return, and cannot wait until the opportunity arises!

What a great house for a family get together - lots of space for the children to run around! Comfortable and warm despite recurrent sub zero temperatures and great big family meals to keep all happy. Lovely sunny walk to Calke Abbey and interesting trip to Conkers when the sun gave way to snow! Beautifully decorated and very welcoming - thank you!

A perfect way to see in the New Year. This is an absolutely super house - especially for family get-togethers. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the local walks are interesting and easy to do. We had three generations in my party ranging from 2 - 76 and we all had a fantastic time. We would definitely come back.
