This is a lovely cottage and this comment is posted to assist anyone who is considering whether to book this cottage or Heath End Lodge over the other side of the estate. Heath End Lodge is furnished to a higher standard, there are no proper wardrobes in Ticknell Lodge for example. Ticknell Lodge is within easy walking distance of the village whilst Heath End Lodge is a car ride away from the village. Both are excellent in their own ways but one may suit you better than the other.

Our first National Trust cottage and what a treat, can only echo all the other comments about the little touches. Very good indeed.
