| | | | Visitors' Book - Ticknall Lodge80 High Street Ticknall Derbyshire | From: | sally young | | Message: | We arrived at dusk to find deer in the garden. The grounds of the estate were breathtaking in the deep snow. We have had many National Trust cottages and this was to the usual high standard .A very comfortable cottage for the two of us,a wonderful log fire and a well equipped kitchen. We shall return in the summer to view Calke Abbey. |
From: | Margaret Fallon | | Message: | This is a warm cottage in a good location. In addition to the steep stairs there is also a low beam in the kitchen. |
From: | Mandy | | Message: | This is a lovely cottage and this comment is posted to assist anyone who is considering whether to book this cottage or Heath End Lodge over the other side of the estate. Heath End Lodge is furnished to a higher standard, there are no proper wardrobes in Ticknell Lodge for example. Ticknell Lodge is within easy walking distance of the village whilst Heath End Lodge is a car ride away from the village. Both are excellent in their own ways but one may suit you better than the other. |
