This was our second visit to this comfortable cottage: a romantic retreat. We'd a wonderful time - again! The cottage is set next to a busy minor road, but this doesn't detract from its unique setting of being right next to the gates of Fountains Abbey. We enjoyed many walks through the grounds of the Abbey - always a delight no matter what season it is, and sitting in front of the fire in the evenings. A thoroughly relaxing break. We hope to be back again very soon!

A delightful cottage in a wonderful location. Having Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal gardens on the doorstep is a brilliant bonus. Take advantage of the guided tours of the garden and Abbey by helpful and informative volunteers. Our stay here has been a fantastic tonic from the fast London pace of life. A return visit is a definite we wish we’d found the Dales earlier!

Our honeymoon! What a wonderful cottage and a fantastic setting. We’ve had a brilliant stay despite the rain (at times!). Lots of walking, good food and running too.This cottage was recommended by friends Barbara and Arthur to us. Good choice!
