Haven't stayed in this area since I was little and had a family cottage in Langcliffe .. and now I am here with my husband and son! Very special and truly the most wonderful place in Yorkshire, if not England. The Barn is just gorgeous, very homey and ‘proper’ furniture – no nasty pine! We will definitely be coming again to gorge ourselves, relax and enjoy the beauty of the place. Thanks so much.

What a fantastic holiday (in more ways than one) The cottage is beautiful and the area so unspoilt and scenic. We’re wondering if there are any vacancies in the local social services department (we’re both social workers – I can only apologise!) so that we can be based here. Being without TV and mobile phone reception reminded us that there are many more important things in life.
We’re leaving today to visit some relatives of mine who said they were in the next dale……checked on the map and its about 2 hours away! Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday cottage – it will obviously hold a significant place in our memories for quite a long time!

Our first visit to a National Trust cottage and it most certainly will not be our last. We have been very impressed, the cottage is truly delightful, warm and cosy and the scenery all around is spectacular.
