| | | | Visitors' Book - Old Coastguard StationRobin Hood's Bay Whitby Yorkshire | From: | Julian Turner | | Message: | Spent a fantastic May Bank Holiday weekend at the Station for 3 nights. Brilliant location, sea view from the lounge window. Can hear the waves crashing against the end of the building at high tide. Great for a romantic break, good quality furnishings and interior. Do try the Wayfarer Bistro at the top of the hill near the car park. Post office sells 3 day permit for £10, cheaper than single day tickets and you can use it at Whitby carparks as well. Flowers and card on arrival and tea tray nice touch on arrival. |
From: | Cliff and Ella Woodthorpe | | Message: | It is difficult to enthuse about t this lovely cottage. if it gets too popular we won't be able to book it! It is a most magical and romantic venue, the views are spectacular and the accommodation second to none - not to mention the three great pubs in the village. We have never found a better place to get away from it all. |
From: | Lynn & Dave Baker | | Message: | This was our first visit to a National Trust cottage and we were not disappointed! This has got to be one of the best locations in which to relax and unwind. The cottage was all we could have hoped for. We spent most evenings sitting with the window open, listening to the waves lapping the side of the building. The bay itself was great, with good pubs. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have just booked a cottage in Cornwall which looks as though it could give Old Coastguards a run for its money! Lynn Baker, November 2007 |
