Florence Court
Large areas of parkland, garden and woodland surround this fine 18th century Irish demesne and there are outstanding views to the surrounding mountains. Generations of the Cole family, Earls of Enniskillen lived here. The mansion contains excellent rococo plasterwork and fine Irish furniture and is a truly welcoming home with its atmosphere upstairs downstairs areas. In the grounds can be found many varieties of lichen, which is clear evidence of the pristine environment. This is a place to fill your lungs with clean Irish air. There are extensive walks in the grounds as well as a Sawmill and walled gardens. The Pleasure Garden at Florence Court, provides a delightful network of winding paths, lawns and ornamental trees and shrubs. The restored walled garden, with its pretty pink and white roses is especially attractive in early summer. The adjoining forest park has many excellent walks
including one which leads to the famous Florence Court Yew, the parent of all Irish Yews.
