We visited Longstone in Feb last Year, the weather was very cold. After a long walk in the cold crisp Feb air, the evenings with the Gas lights, log burning fire and no tv proved to be just the tonic we needed from the rat race of the normal day to day life. Please never change anything about this very special place. Bill, Sylvia and Andrew

We spent xmas 2005 at Longstone Cottage. What a great place to get away from the normal commercial rubbish this time of year brings! Great walks, lots of wildlife, no electricity/TV is a big plus. Thanks Mary (caretaker).

A 5 star location with quick access to the rest of the I.O.W. Having no electricity was just wonderful. Please don't put in a generator it would spoil the peace at the cottage. You cannot see another building from the cottage in any direction (except the thatched barn). Fantastic.
