Very nice place to stay.
In the middle of nature, yet close to the lovely vilage St. Margaret at Cliffe & the Coastguard pub on the shore. The pines is a nice garden to visit nearby. But the best part is the view, you realy can see France!
The cottage is cosy, big bedrooms & kitchen. The only puzzling part is the amount of wineglasses available there must be at least 40....
We had a great holiday.

Stayed in the lighthouse-cottage in november 2004 - will never forget the beautiful cliff-views, the seabirds and the ferry's, all busy. At night we watched the French coast all lighted up like a christmastree. Had nice walks along the coast and in Canterbury and Deal. Lovely cottage, all warm and protecting from the raging winds. When you get to the lane you wonder where the heck you are going its a bit like a mystery tour! You bump and trundle along the road , which is over cast by various bushes & tree's there are rabbits darting around & the odd fox and a herd of friendly bull's. When at last you think your lost, you turn a corner and see the most quirky fabulous lighthouse ever! its totally FAB!
We have just returned from the lovely Lighthouse & East Cottage. The Cottage is very cozy and welcoming and the facilities are extremly good. Even though it get a little windy outside you would be amazed how still and quiet it is inside, you hardly notice the blustry wind.
We have lovley scorching hot days with very little wind. There is so much to do in the area you dont have to drive to far to have a really nice day. The views are amazing and ever changing but the lighthouse just has the "grin factor" if a building could be described as "cute" then this is it! its totally FAB you will have a nice relaxing time.
