October Half Term 2009. The Beeleys and the Palmers had a wonderful stay in Rowleaze - an idyllic rural setting with plenty of wildlife on 'our' doorstep. We were lucky enought to see Hares in the field next to the cricket pitch, small deer in the field in front of the cottage and Green Woodpeckers in the back garden. As usual, the cottage was very well presented with the thoughtful flowers and milk etc a welcoming touch. Bedrooms are nice and spacious, and it was always lovely and warm. In fact, it was so warm that we could not justify lighting the fire in the lounge!
The cottage is located approx. 1.5 miles from the main road, along an arrow-straight road, which was so quiet and ideal for cycling with children. It also made a nice walk, to see the ducks and Grey Herons on the lake. Once off this road, it becomes an agricultural road, but still relatively smooth. With three small children, carting all the associated essentials from the car park to the cottage was a test of stamina, but well worht it.
At this time of year, the main estate is closed, but there is still plenty to see and do in the local area.
Overall, well recommended, very cosy and we will return very shortly.

May 2009: Spent a really relaxing weekend catching up with old friends. The cottage is really pretty, spacious and extremely clean. Only one bathroom but sinks in 2 of the bedrooms helped. Had a lovely fire going in the evening - very cosy and most enjoyable. Arrived to find a vase of flowers and welcome message which was so thoughtful. Cottage is set in beautiful countryside with fantastic views from every room and secluded area to sit outside. Spent a wonderful afternoon looking round Buscot Park and grounds - well worth a visit, especially for delicious cakes in the tearooms! I would certainly return another time - highly recommended.

Fantastic cottage. Word of warning though - when they claim not to know the percentage alcohol of the 'Black Rat' cider at the pub in Kelmscott, take the hint.
