The Thames Valley and Oxfordshire
The River Thames meanders majestically through the verdant countryside to the west of the capital. The Thames Valley is a region of contrasts, with magnificent historic houses and beautiful, varied countryside whilst the Chiltern Hills offer some of the finest scenery in southern England, yet all within easy reach of central London by train. The National Trust protects over 18,000 acres in this area, ranging from great estates to small traditional buildings.

Buscot and Coleshill Estates
Accessible from the M4 and M40, these estates cover about 7,500 acres of farmland and woodland. This beautiful, rural area includes Badbury Hill, an Iron Age hill-fort which gives fine views over the Upper Thames Valley and south to White Horse Hill and the Berkshire Downs. The ancient Roman town of Cirencester, gateway to the Cotswolds, Broadway and Stow-on-the-Wold are within an hour’s drive. Coleshill village is a typical estate village of Cotswold stone and tile houses. An ideal location for a holiday deep in the countryside yet with easy access to London.
