Turn off the Hindhead to Farnham road, drive down a woodland track and into an oasis of tranquillity. Frensham Common Cottage is a long low cottage built in the early 1900's, sitting in a large rambling garden and backing onto Frensham Common. The Devil's Punch Bowl and the now peaceful Hindhead Commons, following the closure of the old A3, both within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are within a five miles radius. This comfortable cottage makes an ideal base from which to explore the area on foot, setting off through your gate onto the Common or, since there are main line stations within a few minutes' drive, visitors can be in central London in under an hour.
Ground Floor: hall, dining room open to kitchen, utility room, bathroom and sitting room with open fire.
First Floor: landing with fine views over the Common, three bedrooms (1 double with 5' bed, 1 twin, 1 single), lavatory.
Facilities
Telephone, microwave, television, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, cot, high chair, freezer.
Visitor Notes: oil central heating included. There is parking for up to three cars.
Access to the cottage is down a public track/road that, in severe winter conditions, can be difficult to negotiate. In periods of very bad weather we may not be able to prepare the cottage for your stay. In these circumstances it is very unlikely that you would be able to access the cottage safely. If this is the case we will contact you in advance and discuss options with you.
