Whitstone is a rare survival of a simple, unspoilt cob and stone Cornish cottage with a part-thatched part-slate roof. Original features have been preserved inside, including slate flooring and an attractive open-beamed landing, and outside there is a secluded, enclosed sun-trap of a garden and a range of historic outbuildings. The network of footpaths leading around the Loe is on the cottages doorstep, and the harbour town of Porthleven is less than a mile away.
