This quaint and cosy 200-year-old cottage is approached down narrow typically Devonian lanes on the edge of the hamlet of Loxhore, near Deerpark Wood on the southern edge of the Arlington estate. Its unusual name dates back to the Second World War when it was set aside for possible air-raid victims; thankfully it never needed to be used. There is a secluded garden behind the romantic little cottage, and the River Yeo is nearby, with miles of walks through the Arlington estate on your doorstep.
