On the south-western edge of the Arlington estate, this enchanting little cottage was once a gardeners lodge. Just six miles from Barnstaple, Woolley Lodge feels quite isolated and private. Almost concealed from the road behind wrought-iron gates, it is enveloped in woodland by a little-used driveway into Arlingtons historic park. There is a lawn in front of the cottage, and the whole glorious Arlington estate, criss-crossed with miles of footpaths, on its very doorstep.
