Chaplain's House offers a unique experience to live in Victorian style, as well as enjoying all the modern comforts of this recently restored house. It was built as a residence for the Gibbs family's chaplain, a prestigious role as demonstrated in the quality of the original features, many of which are also found in the main house at Tyntesfield. Built between 1889 and 1891 in the dramatic Gothic Revival style, this imposing building is set on the edge of the formal gardens and wider estate which guests are welcome to enjoy, along with a complimentary visit to the main house. Set over three floors, this fine and spacious house has been beautifully restored, with the guidance of the National Trusts Curator, to provide a rare opportunity to live in style on a country estate. Just seven miles from Bristol and in easy reach of the M5, Tyntesfield offers the perfect retreat for you to enjoy, but is within easy reach of local attractions and amenities. There is an interconnecting door between Chaplain's House and Chaplain's Lodge enabling larger parties (up to 11) to enjoy these beautiful properties. (This remains locked unless otherwise requested).

Lower Ground Floor: breakfast room and kitchen. Ground Floor: entrance hall, sitting room with open fire, dining room, one twin bedroom and separate lavatory. First Floor: two bedrooms (1 double with 5' half-tester antique bed and 1 twin) and bathroom with separate shower cubicle.

Facilities
Television, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, cot, highchair, freezer.

Visitor Notes:
Gas central heating included. The large sloping garden to the rear of the cottage has a grass area with mature shrubs. Parking is available for 2 cars. A 15% discount is available when booked with Chaplain's Lodge.
