Close to the Officers' Quarters is a little cottage known as Tiffy's, so called because it was once the workshop of the military artificer (the tiffy) or engineer, who used to maintain, modify and repair the guns. Now converted into a cosy and romantic holiday cottage, Tiffy's, like the Officers' Quarters, is an excellent base from which to explore the miles of walks and unspoilt coast and countryside of this remote corner of the Roseland Peninsula.
