We enjoyed a weekend of lovely long walks and loved the wonderful lake and gardens with so many historical features around every corner. A very pretty and conveniently located cottage. The view from the top of King Alfred's Tower is so worth all those steps and also using your pass. Amazing panoramic views.

Three generations stayed at Church Lawn for the week before Xmas. It was idyllic, well equiped, spacious and very comfortable. My 19 and 21 year olds were very happy taking walks through Stourhead or popping across the road for a pint in The Spread Eagle(as were the 80 year old grandparents!) The farmshop at the top of the hill is marvellous and stocked everything you could possibly want to eat or drink! Yes, we will return.
