The National Trust takes a keen interest in providing facilities for disabled visitors and is looking for ways to make more cottages suitable. At present, there are fully or partially adapted cottages for accompanied wheelchair use and a list can be found on page 214-215. They are identified by the [insert symbol] when suitable for accompanied wheelchair users and [insert symbol] when they have limited facilities. If you would like to know more, please ask the Contact Centre.
We have also identified holiday cottages and apartments particularly suitable for the less active visitor, because they have a bedroom and bathroom or shower room on the ground floor. Look for the symbol in order to assist you as necessary during your stay, it would be recommended if you could tell us at the time of booking if any member(s) of your party is disabled.
For visitors who are Deaf or hard of hearing, a fire alarm which triggers a vibration on capturing the sound of the main house alarm, can be made available. Please ensure that you advise us of this requirements at time of booking or for short term bookings, at least 3 working days in advance of your intended holiday date.
