Visitors' Book - Braich Melyn

nr Dolgellau   Gwynedd   North Wales

Just returned from a fantastic New Year break at Braich Melyn, our 6th NT holiday. It was the perfect location to get away from it all and after having pushed our bottles of New Year booze up the hill we were all set for a few nights of sitting by the fire and playing Monopoly (which our four-year-old became obsessed by!). The surrounding countryside is picture-perfect and we enjoyed several walks from the door, marvelling at the frozen streams, crisp-white landscape and busy sheep. Can't wait to come back!!

This cottage has amazing views - even when cloudy! We couldn't help but sit out front, with a good book & glass of wine, soaking up the ever changing views up and down the valley we were nestled within, surrounded by our sheepy friends! I'd visited Wales before so didn't venture far but Dolgellau was only 10 mins drive away for any essentials. The surrounding area has plenty of walks too. This was a lovely, warm cottage with a great open plan beamed layout downstairs and sweet, cosy bedrooms in the eaves. We had a relaxing October break and would love to return! I found the sheep really comforting after darkness, as they slept around us guard dog- like and missed them when I got home!
