| | | | Visitors' Book - Foel Gopynnr Betws-y-Coed Gwynedd North Wales | From: | Catherine & Alan | | Message: | We have just come back from a weeks stay and really enjoyed ourselves. Even with a gale blowing in the evenings, the cottage is very snug once you have the stove lit and the gas lamps burning. If you like reading in bed take a headtorch! |
From: | Katherine Rhoades | | Message: | We enjoyed a magical few days at Foel Gopyn in October, a most beautiful time of the year to explore northern Wales. The splendor of the stars, the breathtaking vistas, and the pervasive quietude soothed our souls. Priceless!

From: | Cat and Wayne | | Message: | I cannot recommend this cottage enough, while the interior is not as character filled as Braich Melyn the surroundings are breath-taking. Foel Gopyn's simplicity is so fitting for it's location.. We spent the day watching buzzards soar over the fields around the cottage, the evenings watching a resident hare tramp it's way through the garden and the night gazing up at the stars in the beautiful unpolluted sky. For miles around all you can see is nature, all you can hear is the breeze and the occasional lonely sheep and all you can feel is relaxed. It's location is ideal. Right in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, Snowdon is half hour away by car, the A5 is literally only 15 minutes away (if that) .. that if you want to go out by day it's very easy to make your way. Thankyou so much for sharing this beautiful location with us.. it was possibly the most romantic break we've had away in years... it was certainly the most restful.. PS, Thanks once again to the caretaker who so kindly came out to check the carbon monoxide detectors late one night.. (they really are the most frustrating things!!) |
