Llanerchaeron Llanerchaeron is a typical example of a small, late 18th-century estate located in the Vale of Aeron two miles inland from one of Wales’ earliest designed towns, Aberaeron. It is set in a narrow valley with the hanging woods on the steep sides acting as a backdrop for the fertile agricultural land on the valley floor. The centrepiece is the compact villa designed by John Nash. It is the most complete example of his early work in existence and is greatly enhanced by its servants quarters, service courtyard and detached Billiard Room. Nearby are walled gardens, pleasure grounds and the Home Farm with its associated buildings and walled gardens. These enhance the visual and sensory qualities of the valley. The complex evolved mainly between 1790 and 1850 and survived largely unaltered. One house in every four in Aberaeron is listed, its graciousness invites you to explore and feast your eyes on its simple grandeur. The harbour town is also an ideal base to explore Cardigan Bay with its resident dolphins and seals. Holiday Cottage guests have free access to Llanerchaeron during opening hours,
