2 1/2 years after staying here at the clom for a weekend, we are still talking about it - and the gorgeous bath! Special place in our hearts!

Beautiful cottage kitted out much higher than its 3 stars. Bathroom is fab and lovely wrought iron bed. The kitchen is compact but there is plenty of storage provided for and an amazing separate “wash room” which seemed huge for the size of the property. We laid in the garden by the stream and walked to Aberaeron . It was very peaceful and relaxing- we felt that the road was not an intrusion in anyway . The front room is a little dark and needs some more imaginative lighting to make it a bit more welcoming but this really shouldn’t put people off a fab property in such a good location . Our only request would be that the bushes are trimmed a bit to enable more sun first thing in the morning and a even better view of the stream .

Pontbrenmydyr is a lovely little cottage and the recent restoration work has clearly been completed to a very high standard. The sitting room is a little dark, but it is also very cosy, and the bedroom and bathroom are both exceptionally nice rooms. There are fantastic walks straight from the doorstep, and we particularly liked our visit to Llanerchaeron House and gardens. The only slight down-side, is the proximity of the cottage to the main road - the traffic noise is fairly constant throughout the day, but it is not really too intrusive and it is very conveniently located for visiting the local area. There is a pleasant stroll along a disused railway line to Aberaeron (2 miles) where dolphins can sometimes be spotted in Cardigan Bay - unfortunately we didn't see any during our visit. However we did see several Red Kites and lots of other wildlife.
